Today you'll learn how to identify songs on TikTok. Additionally, some of the methods presented can also be used to identify songs on any other platform you like, such as from a K-drama or an anime you enjoy.
Apps like TikTok and Kwai are famous for being ‘viral,' but what does that mean? They are apps with short videos that become popular because of their catchy songs that get stuck in users' heads.
Thanks to these catchy songs, dance moves emerged, which users create and share among themselves. Because of this, some songs also became quite popular, albeit in parts or even in remixes.

Using TikTok

Users of this app call themselves ‘TikTockers,' and some of these users gain more prominence than others, becoming public figures or, using a more familiar term, influencers.
How many times have you been scrolling through TikTok and thought, “I know this song,” or “I'd like to know the name of this song”? Well, some songs are easy to identify because if you look in the bottom right corner of your screen, you'll see an icon shaped like a spinning vinyl record.
Clicking on this album will bring up a new tab on TikTok itself, suggesting other people who have also used the same song. If you look closely at the top of the screen, you'll see the name of the song or remix.
Use the TokBoard website.

This is one of the easiest and simplest ways to find out how to identify music on TikTok. Just search “tokboard.com” in a Google tab (of course, you should remove the quotation marks to get to the desired website).
This page presents a list of the most played songs on the TikTok app, showing how many posts were made with these songs and the total number of views achieved by the clips.
This website is updated weekly, so you always have an up-to-date list of TikTok songs, making it easy to find the most played hits of the last 7 days or the entire month, making it a great way to identify TikTok songs.
What's great about this site is that it tells you where a song comes from, and of course, where it's most popular right now, and you can also find the hashtags that are being used with those songs.
Using Spotify

One of the simplest ways would also be to use Spotify so you can see TikTok music playlists and thus be very precise in identifying TikTok songs.
We know that some playlists are created both by the streaming platform and by the users themselves, so to find the most played songs at the moment, simply search for “TikTok” in the Spotify search bar.
How to identify TikTok songs using Google Assistant or Siri

This method doesn't require you to download any third-party apps, and all you'll need is a primary phone, which can be an iPhone or similar. We also recommend using a secondary smartphone to assist you in identifying songs on TikTok.
First, you need to take your main device, then open the TikTok app and play the video you want. Next, take your second device, which is serving as a backup, and if you're using an iPhone, activate Siri and give the command “Identify this song”.
Right after you perform this search, when Siri identifies the song, it will immediately appear for you. Similarly, if you use Google Assistant, you give the same command, and this is a great way to identify songs on TikTok, I'd even say a bit more comprehensive than Siri.
As soon as your Google Assistant identifies your desired song, options for it will appear on YouTube. Then, simply click the streaming icon and listen. If you don't want to listen immediately, just click “watch later” and it will be there.
Identifying TikTok songs with third-party apps
If none of the aforementioned assistants can identify the desired song, don't worry, there are external applications that can solve your problem in just an instant. See what these applications are.
Shazam

This is the first app we'll mention here, and again, we'll need a secondary cell phone to help us. First, go to the app store and download the Shazam app. It's a free app and you can find it on both the Play Store and the Apple Store.
Once that's done, just follow a few simple steps: first, locate the desired song on your primary phone, and then, on your secondary phone, open the Shazam app. After it's installed, its icon will appear; simply click on it and start playing the song.
SoundHound and Musixmatch

The other two apps are based on the one above; of course, their mechanisms are different, but the essence is basically the same, keeping in mind that your goal is to identify songs from TikTok. The SoundHound app has a good music library, but even so, it's still inferior to Shazam.
The second app is Musixmatch. This app can try to identify the song, just like the apps mentioned above, or you can use its feature which is to enter a part of the lyrics you heard on TikTok and search. If that song is in your library, you will easily find the song you want. These apps are available for free.
Sometimes you can find the name of the song you want just by reading the comments on the video itself, which are sometimes pinned by the content creator or other users who simply add the name or even the lyrics of the song.
Thanks to modern technology, many times you only need to sing a part of the lyrics of a song you heard on a streaming platform like YouTube. If you don't want to sing, you can simply type a part of the lyrics you remember, as shown in the following video!
